Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Narendra Singh, learned ASGI appearing for the respondent.
The petitioner claims themselves to be guide giving information with regard to the archaeological monuments of public interest and submits that they may be given licence under Rule 8 (d) of Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Rules, 1959.
From the averments made in the writ petition, it does not appear that any such application has been moved by the petitioner. As such, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he does not wish to press the writ petition and the writ petition be dismissed with the liberty to approach the appropriate authority for applying for licence. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed.
