Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents and have perused the record.
Present petition has been filed with a prayer to direct the respondent no. 2 to decide the application of petitioner for grant of arms licence within stipulated period.
The case of the petitioner is that he applied for grant of an arms licence in the year 2015 but no order has yet been passed and the said application is still pending with the respondent no. 2-District Magistrate, Amroha.
Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this writ petition is finally disposed of with the direction that the application of the petitioner shall be considered and decided by the respondent no. 2, the District Magistrate, Amroha, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of filing of a certified copy of this order before the said respondent.
