JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioners herein apprehend arrest and detention in connection with a crime said to have been registered on the basis of the information lodged by the defacto complainant concerned before the Marayoor Police Station authorities for offences under Sec.498A of IPC and Sec.4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. 2. The petitioners aver that they are innocent of the allegations and that they have not committed any offence as alleged. They apprehend arrest in connection with the crime said to have been registered by the Marayoor Police Station authorities. It is under these circumstances, that they have preferred this anticipatory bail application under Sec. 438 of the Cr.P.C.
3. When the case came up for consideration today, the learned Public Prosecutor submitted before this Court that no crime has been registered as against the petitioners herein at Marayoor Police Station. In this view of the matter, I am inclined to take the B.A.7106/14 - : 2 :-
view that the apprehension of the petitioners that they will be arrested in connection with the crime said to have been registered by the Marayoor Police, is without any factual basis since it is submitted before me by the learned Public Prosecutor that no such crime has been registered by the said Police Station authorities. Accordingly, this Application for anticipatory bail stands dismissed.
