JUDGMENT / ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.] The writ petitioner seeks to forbear the respondents from appointing Noon Meal Organizers in any of the schools in Karur District.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first and second respondents and also the learned counsel appearing for the third respondent.
3.The allegation of the writ petitioner is that the respondents have not issued a proper publication for filling up the 143 vacancies in the said post. But, it is a fact that there was a press release at the instance of the first respondent and that a very large number of applications were received in response there to.
4.The learned Special Government Pleader would submit that as many as 3517 persons attended the interview which was held on 13.06.2017. The selection process has also been finalised.
5.Therefore, at this stage, we are not inclined to entertain this writ petition which is said to have been filed in public interest. We, therefore, dismiss the writ petition. However, this order will not preclude any challenge from any aggrieved candidate.
6.With this observation, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
