Heard Shri Wahaj Ahmad Siddiqui, learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Sandeep Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the respondent - Bank.
Solitary grievance of the petitioner is that the application dated 1.2.2021 filed before the respondent no.3 - Deputy General Manager, seeking One Time Settlement with respect to loan payment defaulted by the petitioner, has remained pending.
On the other hand, learned counsel for the respondent - Bank states that the petitioner's earlier application was rejected by the Bank.
Be that as it may, if the petitioner has filed an application under the current One Time Settlement Scheme issued by the Reserve Bank of India, it is liable to be considered on its own merit.
Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of with a direction that in case the petitioner files a fresh application before the respondent no.1 within a period of two weeks from today along with a copy of this order after making necessary compliance as may be required under the One Time Settlement Scheme, the said application may be heard and decided, as expeditiously as possible, on its own merits, preferably within a period of two weeks therefrom.
