The sole grievance of the petitioner is that the Election Petition being Case No. 3 (Smt. Manju vs. Smt. Rajni and Others), under Section 12-C of the U.P. Panchayat Raj Act, was not being decided and, therefore, a prayer for a direction has been made that the case be decided expeditiously within a stipulated period of time.
Learned Standing Counsel states that all endeavour shall be made to decide the aforesaid Case.
Under such circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, it is being directed that the Case No. 3 (Smt. Manju vs. Smt. Rajni and Others), under Section 12-C of the U.P. Panchayat Raj Act, be decided within a period of six months from the date when the opposite parties are served, if there is no other legal impediment. Copy of this order would be duly certified by the petitioner's counsel.
With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
