Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
Present petition has been filed with the following prayer:-
"(I) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no. 6 to decide the Election Petition No. 7649 of 2021, Computerized Case No. T20211653010749 (Manju Devi vs. Suneeta and others), as early as possible."
Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a suitable direction may be issued to respondent no. 6 to decide the aforesaid election petition within stipulated period for which learned Standing Counsel has no objection.
In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, with the consent of parties, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Respondent No. 6 to decide the aforesaid election petition strictly in accordance with law expeditiously, if possible within a period of six months from the date of production of certified copy of this order, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties and after providing opportunity of hearing to all concerned. In case, election petition is not decided within the prescribed time, reasons shall be recorded for the same.
