The dispute in the writ petition is regarding the recovery of shortage in the supply of custom made rice.
Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks time to file self assessment of the amount due and payable in terms of the judgement and order of this Court dated 24.02.2014 passed in Civil Misc. Writ C- No. 35296 of 2013 (M/s Maa Bhawani Rice Mill and Another Vs. State of U.P. and Others and connected writ petitions).
In view of the above, let the matter be listed on 15.10.2019.
In the meantime, as the petitioner has already deposited a sum of Rs.21 lacs and is also ready and willing to deposit a further sum of Rs.10 lacs, the same may be deposited within a period of two weeks. On deposit of the said amount, no further recovery by coercive methods shall be taken against the petitioner.
