Supplementary affidavit filed today bringing on record the postal receipts is taken on record.
Heard Sri Dewarshi Kumar Rai, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri M.K. Kushwaha, learned counsel for the respondents no. 2, 3 and 4 and the learned standing counsel for the respondent no.1.
The petitioner in the writ petition is seeking a direction to the respondents to pay his salary from July, 2017 till date on the post of Storekeeper. In respect of his claim, the petitioner is stated to have preferred a representation before the Assistant Engineer (Mechanical), U.P. State Bridge Corporation Ltd.- respondent no.3 on 27.7.2017 through registered post of the same date, Annexure-6 to the writ petition, but it is stated that no order has been passed thereon.
No useful purpose would be served in keeping the petition pending.
This writ petition is therefore, disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 3-Assistant Engineer, (Mechanical-2), Mechanical Unit, Allahabad to decide the petitioner's pending representation dated 27.7.2017, Annexure-6 to the writ petition, in accordance with law, expeditiously preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order in his office.
Along with the certified copy of this order, the petitioner shall also provide a copy of the representation dated 27.7.2017 to the respondent no.3.
It is made clear that the court has not adjudicated the claim of the petitioner on merit.
