On 2 December 2011 the following interim order was passed in a pending writ petition.
• "Until further orders of this Court, parties are directed to maintain status quo with regard to possession over the land in dispute."
The sole allegation on which this petition rests and which has been preferred by the respondents is that constructions are being raised by the original petitioner. The Court finds itself unable to to initiate proceedings in contempt on this allegation since the order of status quo was clearly with regard to the possession over the land in dispute. There is no injunction operating against the petitioner in the original writ petition from raising construction.
Consequently, this petition lacks merit and is dismissed.
