Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State- respondents.
In this case a counter affidavit has been filed but the same is not on record. Learned counsel for the petitioner does not wish to file any rejoinder affidavit to the said counter affidavit.
This is a writ petition for quashing of recovery citation dated 18.5.2018 (Annexure-3 to the writ petition) by which a sum of Rs.3,67,721/- is being sought to be recovered as arrears of land revenue. The said recovery is on account of embezzlement by the petitioner for which an FIR has also been lodged under Sections 409, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B IPC.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner does not wish to litigate the matter and is ready to pay the entire amount and, therefore, does not wish to press this writ petition.
The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
