Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.
The petitioner claims to be a senior citizen. It is alleged that in the year 2014, he was having security guard provided to him by the State Government. The petitioner claims that he owns certain properties. There are certain anti social elements who wants to grab his property, therefore, in order to secure his life and property, he needs a security guard.
The writ petition has been filed for a mandamus directing respondent no. 2 i.e. Superintendent of Police, Hathras to decide his representation.
Learned Standing Counsel points out that in case the petitioner is praying for security from the State, he will have to apply to the District Level Committee in accordance with Government Order dated 01.01.2016. The District Level Committee analyzes threat perception and, thereafter, takes decision in the matter. He further states that District Magistrate is the Chairperson of the said committee.
Accordingly, we leave it open to the petitioner to apply, if so advised, before the District Level Committee for security. In the event, any such application is filed along with true attested copy of the instant order, the application shall be considered in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably, within eight weeks.
The petition stands disposed of, accordingly.
