The only prayer made in the instant petition is for issuing a direction to the Principal Judge, Family Court/Fast Tract Court - I, Agra, to decide Matrimonial Case No. 1486/2015 (wrongly mentioned as 1486/2012), under Section 12 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, within a time specified by this Court.
Counsel for the petitioner points out that the second respondent, who is opposite party in the proceedings has already entered appearance and is contesting the same.
Section 21-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 specifically provides that all proceedings under the Act should be held on a day to day basis and effort should be made to conclude the proceedings as far as possible within six months from the date of service of the petition on the respondent.
In view of the aforesaid provisions under the Act, I am of the opinion that no further direction is required.
The petition is accordingly disposed of.
