Prayer:- Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to quash the C.C.No.1173/2012, under Sections 18, 19, 20 & 22 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, pending on the file of the V Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai.
For Petitioner : Mr.M.Suresh For Respondent : No Appearance O R D E R This petition is filed to quash the complaint filed under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act.
2. On a perusal of the materials available on record, it is seen that there are prima facie materials against the petitioner. Hence, this Court is not inclined to quash the petition. In the result, this petition is dismissed.

However, considering the nature of allegations and the relationship between the parties, the appearance of the petitioner before the Trial Court is dispensed with and he is directed to appear before the Trial Court when his presence is necessary.
