JUDGMENT / ORDER

2. Ganapathy .. Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India directing the first respondent police to secure, the petitioner's wife, Ellammal, aged about 19 years from the illegal custody of the second respondent and produce her before this Court.
For Appellant : Mr.E. Sathyaraj For 1st respondent: Mr.V.M.R. Rajendran Addl. Public Prosecutor ORDER [Order of the Court was made by S. NAGAMUTHU,J.,] The petitioner claims to be the husband of one Ellammal, aged about 19 years. According to the petitioner, the marriage between himself and Ellammal was celebrated on 19.01.2017. From 25.01.2017, Ellammal was illegally detained by the second respondent, who is her father.
2. When the Habeas Corpus Petition is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that during enquiry, the detenue was called for enquiry and she stated that there was no marriage and she is only living with her father. The said submission is recorded. The letter given by the Ellammal and her father have been produced before this Court.
3. In view of the above, we find that there is no illegal detention as the detenue is residing with her father. In view of the same, we are unable to grant any relief, sought for by the petitioner. Hence the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed.
