JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.
2. The petitioners have filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of their representation dated 24.07.2013, within a time frame.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that though the petitioners have give the representation as early as on 24.07.2013, for issuance of patta, the respondent has not considered the same yet.
4. Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioners' representation in accordance with law.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 24.07.2013 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving notice to all the interested parties.
With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
