Criminal Original Petitions filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the learned Sub Judge, Tambaram, to expedite the trial in S.C.Nos.149 and 148 of 2013.

For Respondent : Mr.C.Emalias, Addl. Public Prosecutor, both the petitions.
COMMON ORDER The present criminal original petitions have been filed seeking a direction to the learned Sub Judge, Tambaram, to expedite the trial in S.C.Nos.149 and 148 of 2013 respectively.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he is facing trial before the learned Sub Judge, Tambaram, in S.C.Nos.149 and 148 of 2013 for the offence under Sections 294(b), 341, 323, 384, 447 and 506(ii) I.P.C. read with Section 3 of TNPPDL Act. Though the said cases are of the year 2013, till date, the prosecution has not produced any witnesses. Hence, seeking early disposal of the said cases, the petitioner has come up with the present petition.
3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the fact that both the cases are of the year 2013, this Court directs the learned Sub Judge, Tambaram, to dispose of the cases in S.C.Nos.149 and 148 of 2013 pending on his file, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Both the criminal original petitions are ordered accordingly.
