JUDGMENT / ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a limited prayer of directing the first respondent to dispose of the pending appeal dated 11.12.2006 filed by the petitioner within a specified time limit.
2. The petitioner, being appointed as a Salesman by the District Manager (TASMAC), Erode District on 21.1.2004, suffered an order of dismissal on 22.11.2006. As against the said order, he has preferred an appeal before the first respondent on 11.12.2006. But till date, the same has not been disposed of. Therefore, he is constrained to come to this Court.
3. Mr.M.John Kennedy, learned standing counsel, taking notice on behalf of the respondents, sought twelve weeks time to dispose of the pending appeal of the petitioner.
4. This Court, considering the factor that the appeal is pending from 2006, hereby directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the pending appeal on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
