2. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to take necessary action to remove the illegal encroachments and obstructions on the pathway in Government Poramboke Survey No. 491/1 of Kundhur Village, Thadhampatti Post, Pochampalli Taluk, Krishnagiri District by the 4th respondent.
3. The petitioner alleges that the fourth respondent has encroached upon the pathway in government poramboke land causing hardship to the villagers. The petitioner sent representation to the respondent authorities seeking removal of the encroachment. The first respondent/District Collector by proceedings dated 2.9.2011 directed the second respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer to take action. Complaining that no action was taken pursuant to the same, the petitioner made a representation to the respondent authorities on 3.1.2017. Even the said representation did not evoke any response from the respondents. Hence, the present writ petition is filed for the relief stated supra.
4. On hearing the learned counsel for the parties, we direct the respondent authorities to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 3.1.2017 and take necessary action in accordance with law.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
