Hon'ble Krishna Murari,J. Hon'ble Ashok Kumar,J.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioners.
The sole relief prayed for in this petition is as under:
"Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondents not to take any coercive step against the petitioners."
The aforesaid relief is being claimed in the background of the fact that petitioner no.1 left her matrimonial house on account of ill treatment came to Rampur where she met with petitioner no.2, who is looking after her and also the child. It is further submitted that parents of petitioner no.1 came to know of it they started harassing both the petitioners.
It is further submitted that both of them are major and living together out of their own free will.
We have considered the case set up by the petitioners a general and sweeping mandamus as claimed is not liable to be granted. The petition, therefore, stands dismissed.
However, in the facts and circumstances, in case there is any serious threat to the petitioners, they may make an application before the respondent no.2, Superintendent of Police, Rampur citing the incident of harassing, in that eventuality, respondent no.2 shall take appropriate legal measures.
