JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to dispose of his Second Appeal dated 16.02.2016 filed under the Right to Information Act, 2005.

Mr.P.T.Ramkumar, learned Standing Counsel, taking notice for the first Respondent submitted that the Central Information Commission (CIC) held hearing on 29.05.2017 and the Commission heard the petition and also dismissed the appeal on 29.05.2017. The learned Standing counsel also produced the communication received by him from the first respondent in this regard.
3. Since the appeal itself was disposed of by the respondents as early as on 29.05.2017, the relief sought for in the writ petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
