Joravarkhan vs State

High Court Of Gujarat|15 March, 2012

JUDGMENT / ORDER

By way of present application, filed through jail, the applicant-prisoner has prayed to release him on temporary bail for a period of 30 days for agricultural work.
Heard Mr.H.L. Jani, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent-State and perused papers produced before me. The applicant is convicted for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 148, 326 and 364 of the Indian Penal Code for a period of seven years. It appears from the jail report that recently in the month of November, 2011 the applicant has enjoyed furlough leave and in the month of January, 2012 the applicant was released on temporary bail for a period of 14 days. Even the ground taken by the applicant for temporary bail is not a proper ground to release him on temporary bail. Hence, the present application deserves to be dismissed and is hereby dismissed.
