The present writ petition has been filed alleging that the petitioner was transferred from Gautam Budh Nagar to Meerut. Thereafter, when the petitioner went to join he was not permitted to join on the ground that service book of the petitioner was not made available. In this regard, a letter dated 20.07.2019 was written by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Meerut to Senior Superintendent of Police, Gautam Budh Nagar to provide transfer order as well as service book of the petitioner for further steps. The Senior Superintendent of Police, Gautam Budh Nagar wrote a letter dated 25.07.2019 to the effect that the file relating to the transfer has been weeded, with regard to service book, papers are being traced and shall be forwarded to him.
Contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that no steps are being taken by respondent no.3 to transmit the service book, as a result whereof, the petitioner is unable to join at Meerut, the new place of posting.
The writ petition is disposed off with direction upon respondent no.3, to take all steps to send the service book, all the documents required by the respondent no.4, pertaining to the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of filing of copy of the order before respondent no.3.
