The applicant is before this Court for a direction to initiate contempt proceeding against the opposite party for wilful disobedience of the judgement and order dated 09.02.21 passed in Writ A No.1983 of 2021 (Jatta Shankar Jha Vs. M. D., U. P. Jal Nigam and others).
An affidavit of compliance was filed on behalf of opposite party. It is stated by Sri Pranjal Mehrotra, learned counsel for the opposite party that the order passed by the writ Court has already been complied with in its letter and spirit, therefore, no cause of action remained survive.
This fact has not been denied by counsel for the applicant.
In this view of the matter, Court is of the opinion that the order passed by the writ court has been complied with, therefore, no cause of action remained survive.
In view of the same, the present contempt application is dismissed.
