Heard Sri Arun Kumar Pathak, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Ashish Pandey, learned A.G.A. for the State and perused the record.
This writ petition has been filed with a prayer to direct the Police Station Officer, P.S. Kotwali, District Deoria to conclude fair investigation in Case Crime No. 553 of 2017, under Sections 302 and 201 IPC, P.S. Kotwali, District Deoria.
Learned A.G.A. states that the investigation in the present case is still pending, hence, investigating officer of the case be directed to conclude the investigation at an early date because there is apprehension that the Investigating Officer would delay its conclusion due to suspected accused being police personnel.
This petition is disposed of with a direction to the Investigating Officer to conclude the investigation within two months from the production of certified copy of this order.
It is further directed that the I.G. Gorakhpur Range, Gorakhpur shall ensure that the investigation of this case is given to a responsible police officer not below the rank of Deputy S.P., who shall conduct the investigation of this case properly within the aforesaid period.
