1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. Admittedly the petitioner's appeal (Case No. 691 of 2016) arising from the order dated 18.04.2016 passed by the District Magistrate, Pilibhit cancelling the petitioner's arm license, is pending since long.
3. Learned C.S.C. points out that the appeal has now fixed for hearing on 12.12.2018.
4. Considering the fact that the appeal has remained pending for almost two years and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is finally disposed of with a direction that the Appellate Authority shall proceed to hear and decide the said appeal, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
