THIS WRIT PETITION IS FILED UNDER ARTICLES 226 AND 227 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA PRAYING TO DIRECT THE RAILWAY ADMINISTRATION TO MAKE 8 HRS DUTY ROSTER TO ALL THE POINTS MEN IN INDIAN RAILWAYS INSTEAD OF 12 HRS DUTY ROSTER AT PRESENT AND ETC.

ORDER Heard petitioner appearing in-person.
2. Indian Rail Mazdoor Union of South Western Railway has filed this public interest litigation petition seeking direction to the Railway Administration to reduce duty roster to all the points men in Indian Railways from 12 hours to 8 hours.
3. In our considered view, it is a condition of service of personnel working with the Indian Railways. It is for the employer to determine the duty roster and if the employees have any grievance, they are at liberty to approach their employer, namely, Indian Railway for redressal.
4. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioners to approach Railway Administration for reddresal of their grievances.
No costs.
