Madras High Court|02 March, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Mr.P.Senthilvel, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the 1st respondent and Mr.R.Venkatesh, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the 2nd respondent. 2 The petitioner would submit that he was appointed as a Water Tank Pump Operator in Kodur Panchayat through their Resolution dated 28.04.2011 and claims that he is performing his job honestly, sincerely with utmost dedication. The petitioner would further state that he is being paid with salary of Rs.600/- up to 30.05.2012 and however, the salaries were not disbursed thereafter. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that though his appointment was approved by the 2nd respondent and that the monthly salary has also been fixed, for the reasons best known, he has not been paid with salary and on account of the same, he and his family are suffering very much and in this regard, the petitioner has also submitted a representation dated 23.12.2016 to the respondents 1 & 2 and in spite of receipt and acknowledgment, he is yet to be favoured with any kind of response and hence, the petitioner came forward to file the present writ petition.
3 The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the matter in issue is covered by the order dated 27.05.2016 made in WP No.18540 of 2016 [Tmt.B.Muniammal Vs. The District Collector, Vellore and 3 others] and prays for appropriate orders.
4 The Court heard the submissions of Mr.P.Senthilvel, learned Government Advocate appearing for the 1st respondent and Mr.R.Venkatesh, learned Government Advocate appearing for the 2nd respondent.
5 This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 2nd respondent to consider this Writ petition of the petitioner's representation dated 23.12.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
6 The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
