O R D E R
This writ petition is filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose the petitioner's representation dated 28.8.2014 by applying Section 151A of Customs Act 1962 within a time bound period.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice if a direction is given to the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation.
3. Per contra, the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that if six weeks time is granted, the respondents shall dispose of the petitioner's representation.
4. This Court, taking into consideration the submissions made by the learned counsel for either side and without going into the merits of the case, directs the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 28.8.2014, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
