The only prayer made in the instant petition is for issuing direction to the Judge Small Causes, before whom SCC Suit No.90 of 2012 is pending, to decide the same expeditiously.
The suit has been filed by the petitioner for recovery of arrears of rent and for eviction of respondent no.2 from the tenanted premises. A perusal of the order sheet reveals that the case is at the stage of recording of the evidence of the parties.
Having regard to the fact that the suit is pending since the year 2012, the petition is disposed of by directing the trial court to make serious endeavour to decide the suit expeditiously, by fixing short dates and without granting unnecessary adjournments to the parties.
