This Writ Petition has been filed,for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 20.08.2016 by considering her seniority and to direct the second respondent to transfer her from Pappakudi Union Primary School, Kathapuram, Tirunelveli District to any one of the schools having vacancy at Valliyoor Panchayat Union, Tirunelveli District.
2.Heard Mr.K.P.Krishnadoss, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3.The case of the petitioner is that the Petitioner was appointed as Secondary Grade Teacher in Vaniyankulam Panchayat Union Middle School, Mandapam Panchayat Union,Ramnad District and then transferred to the present place of working. Due to her old age she is not able to travel a 150 Kms from her residence to working place and to and fro, the total distance is 300 Kms. Further she would submit that she had two daughters studying in 8th and 11th standards respectively. Hence the Petitioner has submitted a representation, dated 20.8.2016 for the relief stated supra. since the said representation did not evoke any response, the petitioner is before this Court with the relief stated supra.
4. The counsel for the respondent would submit that it is agreeable for the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders thereon.
5.In view of the submission, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.8.2016 and to pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with the rules, within a period of three months from the date on which a copy of this order is made ready, preferably on or before 30.04.2017.
6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
