Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned A.G.A for the State as also perused the record.
This application under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed seeking direction to the court below for early decision of Session Trial No. 21 of 2010 (State Vs. Krishna Murari and others), arising out of Case Crime No. 135 of 2007, under Sections- 7/13 Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and 420 IPC, I.P.C., Police Station- Thoothibari, District- Maharajganj, pending before the Additional Sessions Judge/Fast Track Court-I, Maharajganj.
It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the applicant that the trial is pending since 2010. The prosecution evidence has not been completed till date.
Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this application is finally disposed of with a direction to the court below to secure the presence of the witnesses and conclude the trial in the aforesaid case in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, without granting any unnecessary or long adjournments to either of the parties, preferably within a period of one year from the date of production of a certified copy of this order, if there is no other legal impediment.
