1. Heard Sri Manoj Yadav, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for State-respondents.
2. It is contended that firearm licence of the petitioner was cancelled against which an appeal, being Appeal No.00062 of 2020 (Computerize Case No.C202015000000062) (Gyanchand @ Gyani Vs. District Magistrate Azamgarh) has been preferred before respondent No.2 on 03.01.2020, which is pending consideration. The sole prayer is for early decision on the said appeal.
3. Learned Standing Counsel fairly states that in case the aforesaid appeal is still pending and has not been disposed of, the same will be considered and decided expeditiously.
4. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending or calling for counter affidavit, as such, respondent No.2 is directed to decide the aforesaid appeal, expeditiously, in accordance with law, if there is no legal impediment in deciding the same, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order downloaded from the website of the High Court, after hearing all the parties concerned.
5. Writ petition stands disposed of.
