Application for bail under Sec.439 of Cr.P.C. 2. Petitioner is the 2nd accused in Crime No.230 of 2003 of the Thrissur West Police station pending in S.C. No.299 of 2011 on the file of the 3rd Additional Sessions Court, Thrissur.
3. Prosecution case is that on 10.07.2003 at about 19.45 hours, the petitioner along with others was found in possession of deadly arms and country made bombs.
4. Heard the counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor.
5. Prosecution contended that they are guilty of offences under Sec.4 and 5 of the Explosive Substances Act and Sec.27 of Arms Act.
6. Petitioner is involved in 4 other cases including one offence under Sec.302 IPC. All the allegations against the petitioner are in grave nature. Considering the nature of allegations, I am not inclined to Bail Appl. No.6508 of 2014 grant bail to the petitioner. Hence, I direct the Court below where the matter is pending to expedite the trial and try it as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within a period of six months.
