The petitioner, being a senior citizen and a retired Defence employee (Security in-charge DGQA) and receiving pension, has applied for separate elecricity service connection for his residential purpose. As he was in service for quite a long time, he stayed in the official quarters and after his retirement, he has occupied his share of the property, in which he has constructed a house, and the elecricity connection provided already has been utilised by his first brother Mr.G.Kumaran residing in the same campus bearing S.C.No.244-189-1336. Since the elecricity service connection given by the second respondent is insufficient, the petitioner, who is having three sons and his mother, is unable to maintain his residence with the refrigerator, grinder, etc. Therefore, he has applied for a separate elecricity service connection to the second respondent, which has not been answered. Hence he has been advised to come to this Court.
2. Mr.S.K.Rameshuwar, learned standing counsel, taking notice on behalf of the respondents, sought three weeks time to consider the petitioner's representation/application.
3. Recording his statement, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation/application of the petitioner dated 30.1.2017 for provision of separate electricity service connection to the premises in question at his own cost, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, positively. No costs.
