Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel for State-respondents.
Present petition has been filed seeking following relief:-
"i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent No. 2 to consider and decide the Appeal registered as Case No. 01531 of 2020 Computer Case No. 202001000001531 (Ganga Prasad Shakya Vs. State of U.P.) under section 18 of Arms Act, 1959, within the stipulated time."
Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that against the cancellation of his arm licence, petitioner has filed Appeal before respondent No. 2, but till date no decision has been taken. Lastly, it is submitted that a direction may be issued to respondent No. 2 to decide the appeal of the petitioner within a stipulated time for which learned standing counsel has no objection.
In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, with the consent of parties, without adverting on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No. 2 to decide the Appeal of the petitioner in accordance with law maximum within period of two months from the date of submission of certified copy of this order.
