JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present writ petition, seeking to direct the respondents to consider his representation dated 13.10.2012 and provide monthly pension and arrears of pension from the date of resignation i.e. 12.04.1977 to till date.
2. According to the petitioner, he joined as a Fireman in the Fire Service Department on 28.02.1962. Based on his resignation he was relieved from service on 12.04.1977. It is submitted that inspite of repeated requests for grant of pension, by the petitioner, no pension was granted. On 13.10.2012, the petitioner submitted a representation requesting to consider grant of pension and arrears of pension sympathetically, considering his old age. Since no orders have been passed, the petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking the aforesaid prayer.
3. Learned Government Advocate submitted that the petitioner has resigned his services and that he has not furnished any particulars.
4. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Advocate for the respondents.
5. Considering the limited scope of prayer and taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the 3rd respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is also directed to submit a fresh application, along with a copy of this order.
6. The writ petition is disposed of, on the above terms.
No costs.
