2. In these petitions under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners inter alia have prayed for the following relief:
“(a) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or direction directing the respondents to consider and convert the stay visa to overseas citizenship of India.”
3. After perusal of the record and in the facts of the case, I deem it appropriate to dispose of the writ petitions with a direction to the competent authority to consider the representation, if any, pending before it in accordance with law by a speaking order within a period of six weeks from the date of production of certified copy of the order passed today.
4. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
