Case has been called out. No one has appeared on behalf of the revisionist to press the revision. Learned A.G.A. is present on behalf of the State.
This revision has been preferred against an order dated 11th June, 1992 passed by the Principal Judge, Family Court, Bareilly allowing petition of the respondent for maintenance.
From the record it appears that by interim order dated 14.09.1992 while entertaining the revision the court had allowed the impugned order to operate from the date of the order.
It is now settled that while granting maintenance, the Court has power to grant maintenance from the date of application as well.
I have perused the record. I find no jurisdictional and legal error in the order impugned by which the wife and child of the revisionist has been allowed maintenance at the rate of Rs.300/-
p.m. and Rs.100/- p.m. respectively with effect from the date of the petition.
Under the circumstances, this Court finds no good reason to interfere with the order impugned. The revision is dismissed.
Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
