The petitions are admitted for hearing. With the consent of learned Counsel for the parties, the matters are heard finally.
2. In these writ petitions, petitioner in both the writ petition, inter alia, pray for the following reliefs:
(a) Issue a writ in the nature of certiorari to quash notice issued by the first respondent dated 02.06.2016 in No.VTU/VCS/2016- 17/680 produced as Annexure-H in W.P.No.37181/2016 and the notice dated 28.05.2016 in No.GS/24/TUM/2016 produced as Annexure-D in W.P.No.31448/2016; and (b) Pass such other orders as may be deemed appropriate, under the circumstances of the case, in the ends of justice and equity.
3. When the petitions were taken up today, learned counsel for the petitioners in both the writ petitions submits that challenge to Annexure-H dated 02.06.2016 and Annexure-D dated 28.05.2016 has been rendered infructuous, as the petitioners, by notifications dated 23.12.2013 and 13.11.2013 were nominated as members of the Executive Council for a period of three years from 2013 which expired on 2016.
5. In view of the aforesaid submission, nothing survives for adjudication in these writ petitions. Accordingly, the writ petitions are dismissed as having become infructuous.
