1. It is contended that Reference made to Chancellor under Section 68 of U.P. State Universities Act, 1973 (hereinafter referred to as “Act, 1973”) vide letter dated 25.05.2017 is pending and no decision has been taken thereon.
2. Learned Standing Counsel fairly submitted that in case such a Reference is pending and no decision has been taken so far, the same would be taken expeditiously.
3. In view of above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition is disposed of finally with a direction to the competent authority, i.e., Respondent-1 to take final decision on petitioner's aforesaid Reference by a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order before him.
