1. Called in revise. None appeared on behalf of the petitioner to press this writ petition. Learned Standing Counsel is present for respondents.
2. By means of the present writ petition, petitioner has sought following reliefs:
"Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to make payment of full salary of the petitioner from November, 1996 to July, 1998, amount of his leave encashment, insurance and remaining amount of fund and gratuity and full pension from August, 1998 till date after deducting the provisional pension paid to him and to continue to pay the same when it becomes due to him and other post retiral benefits etc. with interest at the rate of 18% per annum within the shortest possible time as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper under the facts and circumstances existing in this case."
3. I myself have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioner is not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or that petitioner has lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioner is absent.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
