Learned counsel for the petitioner is permitted to make requisite correction in the prayer clause of the writ petition.
The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief :
"a) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.3 to decide the Case No.7 of 2014 (Smt. Dhanmati alias Murahi Devi vs. Adalat), under Section 12 of Uttar Pradesh Consolidation of Holding Act, pending in the court of learned Consolidation Officer, Jahanaganj 1st, Azamgarh, expeditiously within stipulated period prescribed by this Hon'ble Court."
It is stated that the mutation case is pending consideration since the year 2014 and has not been decided till date.
Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of with the observation that the Consolidation Officer, Jahanagnj 1st, District Azamgarh, respondent no. 3 may endeavour to decide the Case No.7 of 2014 (Smt. Dhanmati alias Murahi Devi vs. Adalat), under Section 12 of Uttar Pradesh Consolidation of Holding Act, expeditiously and preferably within a period of four months from the date a certified copy of this order is filed before him.
