1. The grievance of petitioner is that his application for grant of firearm licence being Application No. 1129 of 2020, dated 30.07.2020, is pending before Respondent-2, District Magistrate, Sant Kabir Nagar and the same has not been decided so far.
2. Learned Standing Counsel fairly states that in case aforesaid application is still pending and has not been disposed of, the same may be considered and decided expeditiously.
3. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition is disposed of finally with a direction to Competent Authority to decide petitioner's aforesaid application and pass appropriate reasoned order after affording opportunity of hearing to all concerned parties within a period of one year from today.
