JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Tiruvannamalai to dispose of the case in CC No.337 of 2012 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that she has been implicated as A2 in Crime No.378 of 2010 by the respondent police. After due investigation, charge sheet was filed for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b),447,323,324 and 506(i) IPC and the same was taken on file as CC No.337 of 2012 by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Tiruvannamalai. Thereafter, trial has commenced, during the course of which, only three witnesses were examined. Due to the failure on the part of the respondent with respect to production of the remaining witnesses, the trial is yet to be completed. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondent.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the fact that the criminal proceedings initiated against the petitioner herein is pending from the year 2012, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Tiruvannamalai to expedite the trial of the case in CC No.337 of 2012 pending on his file, on day today basis and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
