Public Prosecutor ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Alandur, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.125 of 2012 and dispose the same within stipulated time.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, a case was registered, in Crime No.61 of 2000. After completion of investigation, charge sheet was filed as early as 2001 and the same was pending before the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Poonamallee. Thereafter, it was transferred to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Alandur, and the same was renumbered as C.C.No.125 of 2012 and the matter is pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Alandur, for more than 4 years. Hence, this petition.
3. I have heard Mr. J.Saravanakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor and perused the entire materials available on record.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate, Alandur, to expedite the trial of the case in C.C.No.120 of 2012 pending on his file and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The criminal original petition is ordered accordingly.
