In terms of order dated 19.1.2018 in Writ-C No.2726 of 2018, the Bank was under mandate to supply statement of account to the applicant upon request made in that regard subject to the condition that the applicant deposits the first installment of the amount due against her.
It is urged that the first installment was duly deposited and the Bank acknowledged the said fact by letter dated 23.5.2018. However, statement of account has not been provided to the applicant despite an application filed in that regard on 10.6.2018.
At this stage, without initiating contempt proceeding against the Bank, the contempt application is disposed of by providing that in case the applicant approaches the Branch Manager of the concerned bank with a certified copy of this order and a fresh request for being supplied statement of account, it shall be ensured that the same is supplied to the applicant within next one week, failing which it shall be open to the applicant to approach this Court by way of a fresh petition.
