JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to provide domestic electricity connection to the petitioner's property, vide application dated 11.05.2017.
2. By order dated 19.05.2017, the second respondent rejected the petitioner's application stating that she has to get No Objection Certificate from the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board for the reason that the land belongs to the Slum Clearance Board.
3. Ms.D.Latha, learned Standing Counsel for the third respondent, submitted that the land does not belong to Tamilnadu Slum Clearance Board and therefore, the third respondent is not a necessary party for the proper adjudication of the writ petition. Further, the learned counsel submitted that the second respondent had erroneously stated that the land belongs to the Slum Clearance Board in his order dated 19.05.2017.
4. Mr.P.R.Dhilipkumar, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that since the third respondent had taken a stand that the land does not belong to them, the second respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application and provide electricity service connection in accordance with law.
5. In these circumstances, I direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's application, dated 19.05.2017 for providing domestic electricity connection to her residential house, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
