This application was preferred on 19th September, 1997 for appointment of an independent Arbitrator to adjudicate the dispute between the parties arising out of the agreement dated 15th August, 1996.
The dispute pertains to the year 1997 and now we are in 2019. In normal course, the dispute must have been resolved between the parties for the period which is running for more than two decades. In view of that and also looking to the fact that none is present to pursue this application, I am not inclined to invoke the powers under sub section (6) of Section 11 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The application is dismissed.
