The sole relief pressed by the learned counsel for the petitioner, during the course of argument, is a mandamus to command the C.M.D., National Thermal Power Corporation, respondent no. 2 to decide the pending appeal of the petitioner filed against the order dated 22.02.2018 within stipulated period.
The appeal was filed on 19th March, 2018. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the order dated 22.02.2018, he is not able to participate in any of the bid being issued by the N.T.P.C., which is causing serious and irreparable loss to the petitioner.
Considering the facts, we dispose of the writ petition by commanding the respondent no. 2 to decide the appeal filed by the petitioner in accordance with law by means of a reasoned and speaking order expeditiously, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
